September Issue : STOP LIVING A STRESSFUL LIFE!

STOP LIVING A STRESSFUL LIFE!
Hello dear readers, I am back again this month with another article today which is very important for me. As you can see in the title, today we will be talking about STRESS. As we all know, stress is something that is totally normal and totally human. Everyone faces stress in life whether you are a mentally strong person or an emotional type of person. This article is very important for me because I’ve been struggling with stress all my life and I still am. This is something that for a long time I had no control on. I am very concern about the struggles of stress and not a lot people know this about me. I use to stress for almost everything. Whether am having an exam or am going to do something fun or enjoyable. That’s weird, I know! But what stresses me is thinking about “will everything be OK?”  .The feeling that something bad might occur always haunts me. And due to this, my positivity level was always on the low side. For years and years, stress has been the main reason why I couldn’t do certain things or rather enjoy certain moments fully. Until the day I decided to take this situation into control.

I read a lot about stress or rather how to deal with stress. After many questioning and readings, I realized that stress is something which have various degrees and that it is totally controllable depending on the situation. It is totally normal to freak out on your result day or whether you are doing something for the first time. But stress occurring too often is a sign that you need to deal with it. It is a mental condition which needs to be treated just as same as anxiety. Somehow in Mauritius, when we talk of mental conditions, some people might thing you have a mental illness which needs to be cured. That is totally untrue. Excessive stress might lead to anxiety which may lead to panic attacks. That is the reason why if you are a person who suffers from frequent stress, you should deal with it NOW! For some people stress might be a petty life occurrence and for some, stress prevents them from living a fully happy life.

After making research about how to deal with stress, I encounter so many articles that talks about exercise, sleep, eating and many other things which surely might be helpful. But I selected 5 simple ways where you can reduce your stress level from an individual's mindset directly. So here it goes.

1. Abandon all toxic relationships
This doesn’t mean to stop talking to people you are use too. But rather distance yourself from people that make you feel bad in your skin. You should rather stay with people that supports and brings the best out of you.

2. Let go of the past
Some things we cannot change ,like our past. Then why stressing about it and letting it affect our future!

3. Fight for you right.
Don’t say YES to everything. Know your rights and don’t let anyone belittle you. Saying NO doesn’t make you a bad person. It rather makes a Confident person

4. Practice positivism.
Staying positive is all in the mind. Stressing too much on things might make you lose all the fun of it.  Always remember. A positive mind leads to a healthy mind.

5. Trust the process.
No one knows what will happen in the future. Your past might be hard and your present can be even harder. But you never know what is awaiting you. Just be patient because everything will fall in place.

So here we are. That’s the end of this article which I took some time writing for you guys.  These few ways helped me in controlling my stress level and I hope it will help you too. And remember; make lemonade out of lemons in life!

Hope you like this September issue article and see you soon in a new article next month.
Thanks for reading.
